Getting ready to fly...
As the day draws near, I figured I had better post something about our trip, so that this page doesn't become completely stale and forgotten.
For those that didn't know, Wendy and I are globetrotter this holiday season. We leave Thursday night for Italy, spending Christmas in Turin and New Years in Rome. We'll be stopping in Maranello to visit the Galleria Ferrari between Turin and Florence, and then spending two days sightseeing before heading on to Rome.
This New Years Eve is our 8th wedding anniversary, so we decided we should do something special this year. With Turin preparing for the Winter Olympics and Rome not to far off, it seemed like a perfect time to visit Italy for our second trip to Europe. (Last time we spent a week in Paris in the fall of 2000.)
We've "hired a house sitter" (my Dad agreed to stay a while...) to take care of the "children" (all the pets) and now all that's left for my is the last couple pairs of socks, and my toothbrush.
We will be posting pictures and stories on each of our blogs as we traipse through Italy, so stay tuned for stories and more!
