The collected Haiku works, Volume 1
I first learned how to write Haiku in grade school before my family moved cross-town and I changed school districts. It's about the last thing I remember about classes from then, other than having a crush on the teachers assistant we had then... another story for some other non-existent time, as I don't remember anything more than just having the crush. No name, red hair I think, that's about it. Anyway, on with the story...
Over the last few weeks, since I joined twitter, I've been re-visiting the form, and while some are rather rough, I think I've come up with a few nice pieces. Here's what I've written to date, and from here I'll start collecting another batch to put up at some unknown date in the future.
Without further adieu, here's everything in chronological order...
| Think it's getting late, Washing our cars today Valentines Dinner: Happy Valentines, Valentines over, Sun rising in clouds, Commuting to work, Another day done, | Getting sleepy now, Heading off to bed, On my way to bed, Starting wet and gray, Rhododendrons bloom, Thunderstorms approaching, Waxing gibbous moon, Cold morning, clear skies. |
