The collected Haiku works, Volume 1

I first learned how to write Haiku in grade school before my family moved cross-town and I changed school districts. It's about the last thing I remember about classes from then, other than having a crush on the teachers assistant we had then... another story for some other non-existent time, as I don't remember anything more than just having the crush. No name, red hair I think, that's about it. Anyway, on with the story...

Over the last few weeks, since I joined twitter, I've been re-visiting the form, and while some are rather rough, I think I've come up with a few nice pieces. Here's what I've written to date, and from here I'll start collecting another batch to put up at some unknown date in the future.

Without further adieu, here's everything in chronological order...

Think it's getting late,
A weary soul gains traction.
Time to sleep tonight.

Quotes from the Inaugural Speech...

I was just reading through the Presidents speech, and the following few paragraphs caught my attention, so I wanted to share them. I think they bear repeating.

Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious
and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of
time. But know this America: They will be met.

...

Our challenges may be new. The instruments with which we meet them may be new. But those values upon which our success depends -- honesty and hard work, courage and fair play, tolerance and curiosity, loyalty and patriotism -- these things are old. These things are true. They have been the quiet force of progress throughout our history.

!! Communication Update !!

For those of you that know me, you know that I've had an AccessLine SmartNumber since I started working there in 2001. Well, I haven't actually really NEEDED most of the features for quite a while now, so it's time to reduce our outgoing costs... Wendy still needs and uses hers alot, so her number isn't going anywhere.
I am going to keep it active for another month or two while I notify everyone that my number is changing, and will be placing a message at the front that tells whomever calls about the change. What this means is: If you haven't already gotten notification from me that I'm changing numbers, call me. Get the new number. If you want to say Hi, let it ring through (it will forward). Otherwise, the number you have may be terminated.
:)
If you didn't already know my phone number, then you don't need to worry about it.
